Frontman Dhani Harrison is the son of late beatle George Harrison.

His finances in order, I suppose it allows him to explore the less commercial side of music.

Well, they aren't tagged as being a prog band anywhere to best of my knowledge - it really needs someone from the Crossover team to drop by and have a quick listen, and then decide whether they might have a chance there or not.
Here are some more links with samples in order to help with the process:

Thenewno2 on soundcloud: https://soundcloud.com/#thenewno2 (11 samples).
Official website: http://thenewno2.com/ (with six of the soundcoud samples embedded in the player on the 'music' page).
Thenewno2 on myspace: https://myspace.com/thenewno2 (29 samples in total).

Just have to wait and see now... Tongue

I've been listening to these guys on and off the past couple of days. Very nice stuff actually, but I fail to hear the prog. Maybe it's just the vocals that take the music into mainstream Indie territories, and it's me who is wrong. There certainly is more to the music than just straight up rock, but is it enough to warrant inclusion at a prog rock site? I'm not sure, but I'll swing this by the xover boys and see what's whatSmile

Thanks, Gulle! Thumbs Up

While you're there, could you have a look to see if Diego actually took this suggestion to his team? - There is still no progfreak entry for the band more than two weeks after he said he would "take them to the Crossover team asap"...  Ermm

Diego did bring em to the team, but I suspect it got mixed in with all of the other suggestions in there (the xover team does get their fair share of suggestions). Anyways, I've bumped them - so we'll seeSmile
