Update form Toby with a link to a teaser for the new album. Listening to it now and it's brilliant, the first 5 minutes are how Gamma Knife should have sounded.

Greetings! Just a very brief message to let you know that a 13-minute teaser trailer for the new KAYO DOT double-album, HUBARDO, is now online at
https://soundcloud.com/tobydriver/kayo-dot-hubardo-teaser

We're still running our preorder to help fund the mastering and manufacturing of this record, so please have a listen to the trailer, and then head on over to http://kayodot.bigcartel.com to preorder a.s.a.p. so we can get this record out in time for our tenth anniversary in Autumn 2013. We need to sell about 200 more copies of the vinyl to move this along! Thanks so much for your ears & heart & continued support!

Well, the $15 digital package includes a tee, a guitar pick and a sticker. You could put it as paying for that instead if you desire

Just release your download in FLAC and problem solved.  People can burn their own CD.

^ Exactly. That's the problem. You have to release things at the same time. Or at least soon after. Things fall off the radar in months. I also wouldn't spend money twice on the same product (without remastering/bonus tracks/etc) but idk about others.

Guess it's pleading to TD for me.

Gamma Knife was released on CD months after the digital release so I don't think it gained much interest so it'll probably go the same way again as long as people actualy ask for a CD release.

I knew about it but mostly because I follow the label that released it on facebook. I didn't realise so few copies had sold though.

Anyways, I'll probably grab this at some point, digital or on CD if a CD becomes available. While I prefer CDs I will listen to the music however it's made available to me. Vinyl is way too pricey though for how much I've been listening to KD lately.

I think the first part of HM post is most appropriate. I want to say the download was available long before a physical copy. (I admit I may be misremembering as it was awhile ago.)

I didn't even know Gamma Knife had a CD available.  I bought the download (the only available format at the time of release), so buying a CD wasn't a priority, but I probably would have done it had I known.

Kayo Dot is probably my single favorite modern (post 90s) musical project, a new album is always welcome, especially if it's a double album.

Wow that description sounds heavenly/infernal.  I finally convinced myself to go for the deluxe.  Jason Byron's poetry is some of the best lyrics in music, so I'm very excited for the poem.  And the shirt.  God this will be awesome.

And now I'll have a Kayo Dot guitar pick to go with my motW one LOL
