I recently discovered 5uu's, a fantastic RIO outfit. This is some really good
stuff, especially their Crisis In Clay album. And frankly, it reminds me of
Yes in some ways. Actually, perhaps Yes might have sounded a bit more
like 5uu's had they continued down the musical style path exhibited on
the Relayer album.

Any advice on other great stuff similar to 5uu's?

Hunger's Teeth is my favourite besides Crisis in Clay. Elements is another good one (it's included in the compilation Points of Views. Their two latest albums are more or less solo albums by band leader/drummer Dave Kerman. Of these two Regarding Purgatories (featuring Deborah Perry on vocals) is the most interesting.

U TOTEM was a joint venture between 5UU'S and MOTOR TOTEMIST GUILD. They released two albums U Totem (1990) and Strange Attractors (1994). Those albums are a bit jazzier and more operaic with great female vocals and lots of wind instruments.

THINKING PLAGUE, especially the album In Extremis (1998) featuring Bob Drake whose voice sounds like Jon Anderson's. Also featuring 5uu's drummer and mastermind Dave Kerman and singer Deborah Perry. Excellent stuff!

Thanks much, Mategra. I'll definitely check them out. If they're anything
like
5uu's Crisis in Clay, I'll probably love them.
