Can someone tell me what the lowdown is on Qango?  Are they still together?  What is the music like?  I'm a little dubious about tasting it, as Asia was so poor.

I never heard the album they did- it was only a live effort called 'Live In The Hood' or something like that- but they fell apart I believe, and all members are doing other work now- John Wetton has just done an album with Geoff Downes of Asia, Carl Palmer still tours with his trio, David Kilminster is in The Nice I think, and John Young I don't know about. There's not much original material, if any, on the album- and they just recycle ELP and Asia stuff mainly.

I saw them a few times when they were Wetton/Palmer/John Young and forgot the guitarist - was it Dave Kilminster.

They played some Asia stuff, some ELP and a couple of Wetton solo numbers. Quite good as I recall but not brilliant.

When the ELP book was released some months late, I went down to Helter Skelter music in london for the book signing. I asked Carl if there were any plans to re-launch Quango and he laughed and said no way! He then went on to form the excellent Carl palmer group, with Sean Baxter who I thought was a fabulous guitarist
