Geeze, it's almost an insult for Talking Heads to be mentioned alongside of Devo.

The first two Devo LPs are excellent - great guitars, great energy, especially the first album. Nothing after the first two does much for me - their second album solidified their sound and it practically fossilized from then on.....and the guitars are pushed aside for synth keys, never a plus in my book. The Heads, on the other hand, released quality and varied material throughout their too brief existence.....wish they were together and touring.

Talking Heads - a greater, more consistent body of work.

TH never did anything as clever and much fun as Mongoloid.................(plus, Mark received a Moog ‘Sonic 6’ from the Dr. himself). You into Moog, you into Devo............

Talking Heads by a huge margin. Don't like Devo at all.

I saw a dude wearing a Devo shirt just the other day. I’ve never seen anyone wearing a TH shirt in my life.

TH for me, though I appreciate the concept of DEVO and their sense of humor much more than their music. A friend saw them on a late 80's tour and he said the opening band was a Christian rock band called DOVE and they had their name in huge letters projected above them. Anyway, the crowd was booing them and throwing stuff at the stage. After they finished their last song, the guys remained on stage while the DOVE behind them rearranged itself into DEVO and they began playing DEVO music. Completely briliant
