Did a search here and kind of surprised there's no mention of this guy and his early band Glass Harp. Phil is from my stomping grounds in Northeast Ohio and has been considered one of the most reknowned guitarist around for past 38 years. Started with Glass Harp in 1970 with a psychadelic proto-prog sound and in '73 left to pursue solo.
He blends just about everything you can imagine in his style ranging from blues, jazz, gospel and classical with a fast and skillful flat-picking style despite missing one finger. Anybody here know of him? If not, check him out. He still plays around the local area and tours occasionally and even reunited with former Glass Harp buddies. |

Actually, Glass Harp has been mentioned before a few times (have to set the search parameters to "Find posts" for any date), and all those topics are locked because they're old. It's been suggested for inclusion.
I listened to some of the Glass Harp music before, but that was back in 2007. Here's the Glass Harp myspace page: http://www.myspace.com/glassharp And the band website: glassharp.net |

Watching while most appreciating a sunset in the moment need not diminish all the glorious sunsets I have observed before. It can be much like that with music for me.
