I wouldn’t wish to be Cure lol

It was most certainly between TAAB and SEBTP for me.

Genesis takes my vote.

A collection of good ones here: Genesis, Tull, ELP, Caravan and LZ. I vote for SEbtP.

Emerson, Lake & Palmer - Brain Salad Surgery (1973) ahead of Jethro Tull - Thick as a Brick (1972).

As great as Brain Salad Surgery is (especially Karn Evil 9), Thick as a Brick is in another class entirely.

There are three of the greatest prog masterpieces here, Emerson, Lake & Palmer - Brain Salad Surgery, Genesis - Selling England By The Pound and Jethro Tull - Thick As A Brick. I love all, spetially the last two. But, to be honest, my favourite is Genesis - Selling England By The Pound. It's probably my favourite prog album and it's also my first vinyl purchase. So, it always had and it always will have a very special place into my heart.

At least there's no chance of Steve Hackett taking any votes away from Genesis in this poll. Smile

Much though I love SEBTP, TAAB, FGWGPITN and Passengers, my vote goes to the sublime From the Witchwood.

Jethro Tull, but the albums by Strawbs, Genesis, Steve Hackett, Dead Can Dance and Alan Parsons Project are all really good

From the Witchwood had the benefit of appearing briefly in the fourth album poll too, mainly because I forgot to include A Collection of Antiques & Curios in the Strawbs discography. Smile

I'll pick Caravan because the album might not be as obvious but is so damn good!

I would've picked Caravan too, if it wasn't for Genesis being in the same poll. Smile
