I want to do three more polls including this one then give you all and myself a break. I have 21 adventerous albums and each poll has a couple most won't know, a couple most won't like and hopefully one or two most will want to vote for. I love math.
Again just wanting to discuss some of these. Some in these polls are sentimental picks but most were just outside of my "best of" Krautrock list for being too inconsistent for the most part. Some I didn't own when I did the list. Missus Beastly and Kontrast are jazzy more than Kraut.
As for Amon Duul live it was a no brainer for that original list but I already had four of their studio albums on it so I thought it was a bit redundant, apparently that's not the case now.

Electric Orange's Volume 10--though Morbus is my favorite by them.

I had to vote for it as well, maybe my favourite krautrock band, haven't quite figured that out yet.
Apparently they stayed with Roxy Music while in London and met a lot of musicians who appreciated their music that didn't compromise to anyone. Great cover with that Fleetwood on it.

Your five piece Missus Beastly plus five total guests and Roman Bunka needs a mention for his guitar work here. And come on "Miles All Along The Watchtower" is a cool title no? And man does it sound like Miles is playing on it, his style and sound.

Drew I'm such a huge fan of this band. I still have memories of taking very long out of the way drives home from work just to hear "Morbus" because these guys can only do 70 plus minute albums. It was a fifty plus minute drive anyway but yeah love that space rock groove when driving. Volume 10 gets a ton of respect from Krautrock and Space Rock fans out there but I too prefer Morbus. It's coming up.

I knew you and Logan(Greg) are big fans of this one but I didn't know you had that much respect for it. It has been a challenge for me. It's been one of those albums that just doesn't stick so it's taken a lot of spins for me to start to appreciate it. It's so all over the place and man it hits some highs. The guitarist came up with the idea, the concept and arranged all but one track. He is the one speaking on that spooky closer too. A five piece band with some interesting instruments like bamboo flute, concert flute, lotus flute, bass flute, bass fiddle, stylophone and more. The flautist you can tell from the pictures is much older than the rest and he's credited with all these different flutes and more but also for "general advice" which is interesting.

I'm shocked anyone would vote for any of the first three on this poll but especially Kontrast which got a vote?
The project of Remigius Drechsler from Out Of Focus he has brought along a few of his band mates and if your familiar with that second disc off of Four Letter Monday Afternoon this is sort of where this continues going into a free jazz style that is quite difficult for me to say the least and there's spoken word bits instead of vocals but they are outstanding. Just so well delivered and thought out as far as what is said.
From the first half of the 80's too.
I received a message from Remigius on this site thanking me for my 3 star review, he was all positive just wanting to talk about that Kontrast album. He gave me some information but he was especially talkative about Paul Smyth who wrote the lyrics that he speaks on the three tracks. He said he spent so much time on coming up with these words and he was obviously a character. It just works so well but again that music can be tough to appreciate. A sentimental pick.

Al Doum & The Faryds are from Italy and are a Psychedelic band but this album from the first time I heard it screams Krautrock. The flute, percussion, sitar and psychedelic sound made me an instant fan.

There's far too much Krautrock I don't know as these polls show. Embarrassed
I'll vote for Live in London in this one; great album except the abrupt end of the Improvisation, but still not a fair contest as I don't know most of the others (same in the other polls).

I voted Electric Orange also. But my fave is Psi-Hybrid, followed by XX and Wurzburg Cairo 2015.

Going with the expected for those who know my tastes, Brave New World's Impressions on Reading Aldous Huxley. I know for some it's inconsistent and I've spoken with people here who on find "The End" really interesting on that album, but I love the whole thing (even if The End does still stand out, such a great track imo), and it was love at first listen for me. This was an early for me Krautrock listen, and probably more than any other album, it got me really appreciating and exploring kinds of Krautrock. I love its acid jazz-rock qualities. The second-most album in this list that has got the most attention from me is Electric Orange's Volume 10, which is one of my favourite modern Krautrock albums.

Greg I have spun Brave New World's album several times over the past week with more of an open mind and have a new appreciation for it. I could say the same for the Cornucopia, Dzyan and Annexus Quam titles on these polls. I'm excited about these four and have been spinning them a lot.
I did decide to cut six of the 21 from the polls, just felt right. The Future Kings Of England and Al Doum & The Faryds will be on my "Best Of" Psychedelic list while Trees Speak will be on my Electronic list. Then Lightshine, Tomorrow's Gift and Ibliss were removed. And I like these last three I mentioned but some tough moments too.

Hi,

Same ... and before it was actually "released" Guy Guden had finally come up with an import, and it was excellent to hear ... sadly, the band never sounded that good again. on stage, as it looked like they were not willing to rehearse and make sure that things were right and sounded good. But it was an incredible show and touch of their early work and how much they dedicated their efforts to it!
Music is not just for listening ... it is for LIVING ... you got to feel it to know what's it about! Not being told!
