Does someone know prog groups of any genre using this drumming technique? I know it's popular among metal bands but It would be weird to heard a symph band with blast beat |

Hmm... only group I can think of is The Flying Luttenbachers. But they're not really a prog band.

Many bands of the tech/extreme prog metal category use them ... but usually not all the time. In most cases they will be used to add intensity, like at the end of a solo or chorus.

Can't really think of any non-metal prog bands that blastbeat. I'd love to hear some classic 70's prog band trying that out.
I love a good blastbeat or 10 in a good metal album. I know plenty of people are turned off by them, even most metal fans. However, they can be great if used properly, just like any musical technique.

They are included here. But yes, other than prog metal, you are probably only going to find it in avant jazz/rock experiments like Luttenbachers. Although you shouldn't listen to them because they are a poor imitation of Peter Brotzmann/Last Exit, and then they switch to a poor imitation of Ruins.
