I enjoy the two Trees albums known on PA and i found that they would have done a third album in '75, according to Allmusic: http://www.allmusic.com/album/christ-tree-r1021037 By listening to the samples on this page, we can hear that it's a very delicate mystic indo-british folk. The CD edition has been released in 2007 according to the informations on Allmusic. I'll proceed to the addition if it's confirmed that we're well in precense of a third Tree's album!! Olivier,
I'll look into it, but I don't think this is the same UK group, nor is it the US Hippy/religious-cult group either.
Can you provide the line-up of the group??

All i know is from the Allmusic page up. So it seems that Allmusic made a confusion.

Most likely a big screw up in their site, because if you look here, the group would have 5 albums
the latest two from 2005 & 2007
Plus that the album you pointed out in the first post seems quite religious music, looking at the track names.
we'd be aware of it, believe me

![]() I think it's a reissue (perhaps expanded) version of this thing. "ULTRA-RARE 1975 Monster XIAN Commune FOLK PSYCH lp -- Far OUT with Eastern Trance vibes, complex Male/Female vocals, sitars -- Record plays Better than the few I've Heard + Includes the Lyric Booklet -- One of The MOST sought-after USA PRIVATE PRESS lps at the moment. " It sounds a bit like it maybe is the (a) "US Hippy/religious-cult group". Why don't you think it is, seantrane? Edited by Paravion - March 31 2011 at 08:34 |

Yes, it's clearly that. An interesting band, as the samples show, with a nice indian flavour.

Great stuff. I've come across that before. That band is also known as The Trees Community and has two albums, A Portrait of Jesus Christ in Music and The Christ Tree. here's the rateyourmusic entry: http://rateyourmusic.com/artist/the_trees_community

OK
Definitely NOT the same band
(the one Olivier speaks of)
The Christ Tree (US) according to AllMusic also called The Trees Community according to RYM
and
The Trees (UK) (the one in our database)
I've heard the Radioactive bootleg of the US group's album.... It's definitely out there somewhere... almost spooky how far these guys were out....

If it does help any, the UK prog/folk band is called Trees, not The Trees.

Actually this was our release of a boxed set and yes, it is still all our music. The boxed set includes many of our original previously unreleased music from live performances at various churches and even at Gethsemani monastery. We worked at length with Timothy Renner to reissue this going through a long involved process to rescue very old reel to reel and cassette tapes. One of our original members, David Karasek, did the artwork for the boxed set. You can find complete information on our website. Just google "The Trees Community" and you will find it there. I wrote many of the songs, but not all, and of course all of the members added their own parts, fleshing out the skeleton of each song. You can find a way to contact us on our website but feel free to also email me if you have any additional questions. I have written a book (currently on blogspot) about our seven year experience, and yes, we did live on a bus! Thanks for your interest. Shishonee Ruetenik (now Krupa) - I went on to be a founding member of Art in America a progressive classical rock band from the 80's. Find us at [email protected]
