The mighty Cow's issues with the Virgin label are well documented, which means their contemporaneous recorded output was relatively sparse. Thus, I am happy for 'Concerts' to be included (which did contain original material), their collaboration with Slapp Happy for 'Desperate Straights', the 'lost' Henry Cow album, i.e. the debut Art Bears album, 'Hopes and Fears' and their side of the 'Greasy Truckers' album.
1. In Praise of Learning 2. Leg End 3. Concerts 4. Desperate Straights (with Slapp Happy) 5. Unrest 6. Western Culture 7. Hopes and Fears (as Art Bears) 8. Greasy Truckers

Is Hopes and Fears more of a Henry Cow album than the other two Art Bears-albums? I prefer their two first, Leg End and Unrest - by far. Don't really listen to the rest (but Western Culture would be third). I do hear their quality, but they just don't hold the same appeal for me personally.

^ To cut a long story short, 'Hopes and Fears' was planned as a Henry Cow album - and performed by Henry Cow - but some members felt it was not 'Henry Cow' music so that's where Art Bears came in.

For the first place,
the competition is between Unrest vs In Praise of Lerning.
