Everytime I hear a great track, the next one is some hillbilly cock rock rubbish.

Then when I think I'm done, I hear something much more interesting.

Hard work, they are

Good value that set is

That's kinda the dealio with Kansas. To be fair there's more hillbilly prog than hillbilly cock rock across those albums as a whole. But equally, not all of the hillbilly prog is all that great.

Yeah, I don't think this is for me. Maybe another time.

I would buy it, all those albums are pretty amazing and contain some top notch prog. The Hillybilly stuff is only on the first 3 albums and its kinda scarce at that. Most of it is still really sick besides It Takes a Womans Love and Lonely Street in my opinion.

I bought that exact set a few years ago from a local music store. For the price it's great value.

Like most groups, there's a few tracks that aren't great, but overall there's a lot of good prog amongst those 5 albums, with Masque and Leftoverture being my favourites of the bunch.

The albums are great, but these budget priced sets are not just cheap but cheap looking as well. I never buy these kinds of sets, I always prefer to buy each album individually. But that's my own personal preference. If all you want is the music itself, then you can at least pre-listen to the albums online first, before you become a fan Wink

If it's the first 5....and u don't have them, then hell yes.....imho those early Kansas albums are are very good and as interesting as anything in that period of 74-78 of prog  rock.
You could do worse  with many other bands in that time frame.

It's about £3 an album and there are no duff albums in there so ''Hell Yes!''

I bought a similar one for Tull and I'm happy with that.
