Since everyone seems to be in the mood for "Top 7s":
1. Please Don't Touch 2. Defector 3. Guitar Noir 4. Spectral Mornings 5. Beyond the Shrouded Horizon 6. Till We Have Faces 7. A Midsummer Night's Dream Yes, some of these choices are controversial, but I've been listening to some of these albums for almost 40 years now, and compiling this list was very difficult. To answer the obvious question, Voyage of the Acolyte is not here because I think it's not really that good. It's an adequate introduction to Hackett's style, but I only really like "A Tower Struck Down" and "Star of Sirius". Just missing this list were Cured, Momentum, Darktown, and To Watch the Storms.
