R.I.P.

Listening to Space Ritual right now.

My first exposure to Hawkwind was a Nik Turner interview I heard on the radio during the mid '70s. One of the things I liked was that "Opa Loka" was playing in the background during the interview. So, not only is "Opa Loka" a great track to listen to, but it is also a great backdrop to an interview of Nik Turner.

This interview played a significant role in me getting into Hawkwind. I have said before that it was a bootleg version of Pink Floyd - "Echoes" that got me into Hawkwind, but without the interview, that would never have happened.

R.I.P. Nik Turner. Cry

No, I know how to behave in the restaurant now, I don't tear at the meat with my hands. If I've become a man of the world somehow, that's not necessarily to say I'm a worldly man.

Nik’s band has its own double live album called Space Ritual 1994. It rips! I may play that next.

RIP

Bought Doremi Fasol Latido, my first Hawkwind album, in 1973 in a delete bin for $3. Then eventually Astounding Sounds, Amazing Music because of the art work. By the mid/late eighties I was populating my CD collection and added several more titles.
Thank you for supporting independently produced music

Sorry to hear that Space Gypsy Nik Turner is no longer with us, having reached The Final Frontier. Let's hope there's Life in Space too, where his Space Rock power chords will be infused with Interstellar Energy.  I've been a fan of Nik Turner for several weeks now, ever since listening to all of his albums for the first time back in September of this year. Embarrassed Broken Heart

Dig me...But don't...Bury me
I'm running still, I shall until, one day, I hope that I'll arrive
