4 stars 2019: Recurring Dreams - http://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=OLAK5uy_ldgHukN5mJx29HKXAkm019gD1FqVkMSYM

Tangerine Dream's 183rd album. Deja Vu maybe? Recurring Dreams is a collection of classic TD tracks you may recognise, but played in a new and exciting way. You don't have to take my word for it though.
Just have a listen to this.....

4 stars 2019: The Sessions V - http://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=OLAK5uy_muTZTjg6MZjjEAmw7bMXwac5cHvlcrdzA

Tangerine Dream's 182nd album. The four-track Sessions V double album is labelled as an "EP" by Tangerine Dream, along with all of the other seven albums in The Sessions series, but with a running time of just over two hours, it must be a record breaker for the longest ever EP in recorded history. It's great value for money that's for sure, if it's the same price as a standard EP. Smile

4 stars 2019: Live at Augusta Raurica, Switzerland, 2016 - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KHBRwIKfkD8

Tangerine Dream's 181st album and one of the first concerts recorded after Edgar's passing. It's  a chance to hear many of Tangerine Dream's classic tunes performed in a new way in a magnificent open air amphitheatre in Basel, Switzerland by the new TD trio of Thorsten, Ulrich & Hoshiko. In the full 140 minute video below you feel like you're right there where I can almost smell that Swiss alpine air - although that may just be my Haze Alpine Air freshener. Smile

Hi,

Just so happy to see them free forming their way, and actually finding what TD was all about ... lovely stuff and we need more!

They'll never truly understand what it was like in the "old days," especially when they have access to all the sounds.

Music is not just for listening ... it is for LIVING ... you got to feel it to know what's it about! Not being told!

4 stars 2018: The Sessions IV - http://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=OLAK5uy_mouo_dlfivz-unrtOg5nsyvv95cpWT4t4

Tangerine Dream's 180th album. Another hour-long "EP" and the fourth of eight in The Sessions series, this time recorded at Oslo, Norway and Pisa, Italy, so "Heisann" to any Norwegians amongst us and "Buongiorno" to our Italian friends. Smile

4 stars 2018: The Sessions III - http://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=OLAK5uy_mIkdPs1fifgFRl3ch5YldBWs4UvIF7H4E

Tangerine Dream's 179th album. The third of eight in The Sessions series, recorded live in Hamburg and Berlin. Tangerine Dream describe The Sessions albums as EP's, but with a duration of well over 60 minutes in many cases, they're longer than most albums. Smile

4 stars  2018: The Sessions II - http://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=OLAK5uy_mW22EartvHBkNNruJ2eDHdEzIdCPod3fc

Tangerine Dream's 178th album. The second of eight albums in The Sessions series with two side-long pieces recorded at De Enck, Oirschot, and if you haven't already guessed where that is, the track titles "Tulip Rush" and "The Floating Dutchman" will give you a pretty big clue. Haagen-Dazs. Smile

Tangerine Dream's 176th album. Fire up the flux capacitor and prepare to go back to the future with a collection of previously unreleased recordings by Edgar Froese! Clap

Maybe my favorite TD-related release of recent years, along with Baumann's Machines of Desire.

5 stars  2017: Quantum Gate - http://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=OLAK5uy_lWeiUAtQG2qU_sDKixcp4A5I4ZTxvKUJU

Tangerine Dream's 177th album. This is a moment to seize. The kaleidoscope has been shaken. The pieces are in flux. Soon they will settle again... You can take a quantum of solace from knowing that Quantum Gate was the album that Edgar Froese was working on when he had a sudden unexpected change of cosmic address in January 2015. This album represents the quantum gateway between the classic Tangerine Dream we've come to know and love and a new beginning with the current TD trio of Thorsten, Ulrich & Hoshiko., so let's celebrate the continuation of Edgar's legacy and Tear Down the Grey Skies of winter together. Hug Heart

4 stars 2017: The Sessions I - http://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=OLAK5uy_n5ghceSCVW6BRhNmxinFDKw-fQOBhM1RY

Tangerine Dream's 175th album. Zao shang hao! Here's something new to wake up to for the Chinese New Year. The Sessions I is the first in an eight-part series of improvisational TD performances captured live from around the world, starting with Budapest, Hungary and followed by Hong Kong, China. Zaijian! Smile

Tangerine Dream - Against the Clock

Thankfully, the dialogue is in English this time in this brief Tangerine Dream challenge, where the new TD trio of Thorsten Quaeschning, Ulrich Schnauss and Hoshiko Yamane are Against the Clock with ten minutes of studio time allowed to create a piece of music together.

And this is what they came up with...

Tangerine Dream - Revolution of Sound

Guten Tag. Sound from Another World is a German film celebrating the legacy of Edgar Froese's incredible 48 years of music history with Tangerine Dream, including a contribution from Jean Michel Jarre  in his native French which is helpfully translated into German. Danke Schoen. Wacko
