Having just reviewed the Guru Guru album, I gotta go with the Käng. And the back cover is even better...

I mended the poll so as Frankie boy now is visible.

I'm not sure what to vote for, but the Alrune Rod cover has always enticed me for obvious reasons (I like red).

I certainly like the Frankie Battery cover too, which always intrigued me with its Lemon-Peel-Bolted-Into-The-Ground-Signifying-Man's-Uncool-Treatment-of-Nature or something like that.

That's how I've always interpreted it myself. Battiato is actually one of the few cases (Lucio Battisti as well) where I'd like to know what he's singing about. For most other Italian artists I prefer the possibility of an omni-embracing lingo ie the words can mean just about everything, it just depends on my mood of the day.

Cosmic Ground for me. Makes me wanna scratch that band name, replace it with Félicité Thösz, place a K.A-like Magma-logo on the ground and voilà their last (slightly disappointing) album would atleast have a decent cover.

The most disturbing thing about these selections is that the Sabbath cover is one of my favorites. However, I had to vote for the imposing Aluk Todelo, an album I have never seen before and certainly have never heard.

I didn't particularly like any of this, but the last one is the one that disturbs me the least.

Opal is the obvious choice for me. Occult Rock is the only real competition.

choice should have been Sulle Corde di Aries which has my favorite cover, and source of endless numbers of questions as to what the HELL that is on various non-prog forums I use that as an avatar for. Classic. Hey Genesis bobble-head fan can vote their favorite even if they aren't anywhere close to being a good answer... it isn't his best.. but I'd flip and play for the other side for Battiato.. so Polution gets my vote on principal.

Some very weird covers here David. I went with that psychedelic cover from Alrune Rod.
