Lucky son of a gun! I'm freezing my ass off here in the Northern part of Jutland
Oh and I've been meaning to ask you but keep forgetting about it. Can your record player convert albums into MP3s? Mine doesn't but a good friend helped me out a little while back, so as I now can listen to (most of) my vinyl whilst away from home

Wonderful album - heck I even love the completely bonkers bonus track Flotenmenschen. -A track that obviously owes a great deal to acid.
I mostly think of it as a "summer album" though, but that's probably because I've spent so much time with it out in my folks' garden. Always in a very relaxed state of mind - most likely sunbathing or indeed watching bumblebees bouncing around.
Anyway who knows? Maybe it'll turn out to be a "winter album" for you

^When I want something from the Dead that really jellos my bones in that oh so chill manner, I put on Dark Star from one of Dick's Picks (quite a few versions to chose from too).
Another one that hasn't been mentioned yet is the wonderful Edge of Time album from Dom. These Germanic creatures managed to cook up the perfect soundtrack for watching bees buzz about and generally having a great old time melting through your garden chair.
I mean, any album that starts like this and you just know you're in for a real chill excursion (albeit a little hazy at that)

Grateful Dead - Space.....can choose from literally thousands of versions from their near nightly excursions from the mid-late 60s right up to the early 90s. Was there ever a more progressive rock band?
I like to feel the suspense when you're certain you know I am there.....
Nice to see some more appreciation for Deadmau5, he's definitely one of the more creative electronic artists in recent years
The mau5 was my favourite artist from the 00's for a long time
So, is Deadmou5 really good? I have known about him because of my brother in law, whe seems to really like him a lot. He has loved electronic music since I know him, but has never been into prog at all. I heard something from deadmou5 the he at some point showed me, and it was interesting, but left it in the check out later department, which may never come, since I have never really been a huge fan of electronic music (usually too much ambience and not so much melody... or if it goes into disco / danceable territory, even worse). But if some fellow proggers are giving him the nod, I guess I could ask him to show me some music from the Mou5.

A very effective therapy I have used whenever I am rather stressed is to put Shine on you Crazy Dimaon (complete all 9 parts)... by the end of the listening I'm much calmer. I guess if I have enough time, hearing the whole WYWH album would work just as fine. From Floyd, I guess the last album, TER, would work beatifully as well. Also, any of the first 4 Mike Oldfield albums. And from Harmonium particularly the song Histoires Sans Paroles. I guess I could also add Edison's Children "Final Breath before November".
