Hemispheres is easily the proggiest one, followed by AFtK and CoS.
2112 is a hard rock album with some prog elements on side 1.

I totally agree. It has to be Hemispheres but A Farewell to Kings is a close second. You could even say its closer to the heart :0

The most 'prog rock' album I would say is Hemispheres..
That's different from being the most 'progressive' though. The biggest 'progression' in musical direction is probably Permenant Waves.

Permanent Waves anyone? I know to the rest of you it is more straightforward but at the time it came out, Rush never did anything like it before. They added bits of electronic music (Spirit of Radio) and the band was growing in maturity. Also, what do you mean by "progressive?" Such a broad term really

I'd say A Farewell to Kings, combines symphonic rock, hard rock/heavy metal, and space rock all at once.

Hemispheres with a strong nod to A Farewell to Kings.
I think the latter is where they really broke through in terms of complexity and poise, and the former was the consolidation of that style.
