Time and a word is 4 stars IMHO!
The others are 2 or 3 stars. |

damn captcha, I wrote quite a bit and did not save it... I'll keep it short this time. What I do not understand is how is an album like Tormato ahead of the two early Yes albums, the ones with Peter Banks.

I don't think we are supposed to 'get it'. |

Voted for Talk but I also quite enjoy the debut, The Ladder, and Tormato.

It's Tormato, the last good Yes album before all the line-up changes.

First votes for Fly from Here which tells you what I think of the other albums (Tormato in second place)

I can't really chose to be honest since I like them all for different reasons. 90125, Tormato and T&AW are all really strong albums and in the case of 90125 in particular under rated by most Yes fans.

^ Yeah, I don't see how that title track needed to be a suite either... though for me it's actually not a suite. It just doesn't sound like one, nor was it created as one. The songs within it have no relationship between them (musically) at all, and they have their own beginning and end, so I just consider them as separate songs.

Sort of a toss up between Tormato and Time And A Word for me - I went with Tormato just because most of the issues on the album seem to be because of how it's produced... apparently some Dolby alignment issues causing it to sound thin according to the liner notes of Progeny. It's a bit silly sometimes too, but I think it's fun.
Self-titled and 90125 are good, but I'm not really into the others. Talk bored me to tears, The Ladder just gets cringy at times, Fly From Here is alright, although there a few tracks that just seem forgettable, and I don't really think it was really necessary for the title track to be a huge suite. |

^ I cringe when I see people saying that Tormato is better than Time and a Word and the self titled album.

Two random guys agreed to shake hands. Just Because. They felt like it, you know. It was an agreement of sorts...a random agreement.

Time and a Word (a Yes favourite of mine) followed by the self-titled. I never really got into post Fragile Yes other than the odd track.

I see a bell curve. The strongest mediocre albums were during the middle period of the band.

Onward is the only song I like on that album... and Don't Kill the Whale. Though the version of Onward from Keys to Ascension is the better one, with some beautiful acoustic guitar intro added by Howe. |

I guess Talk, just because of Endless Dream. Though Fly from Here has some really beautiful moments too.
