Hmmm....going with Trick....Animals would get too dark for me after repeated plays. That Floyd lp always left me some what cold.

Trick of the Tail is the best Collins-era Genesis album, but I don't think it beats Gabriel-era best, nor does it beat the best of Floyd. I actually think an interesting poll would be to put Trick and Wuthering up against Big Big Train albums, as I find the latter to be most similar to those Collins-era Genesis albums.

I guess you are right. Obviously some overlap though.

^ I hope not, unless my memory failed me. There was Animals vs Going for the One, and Wind and Wuthering against Going for the one (both of which GftO lost), so I thought it would be interesting to complete the set of polls.

Two great albums by two of my fav groups. Today I'll go with Trick, which is Genesis' best album IMHO. Animals is a stunner too. Waters releasing the bile from is soul and Gilmour matching the mood |

"A Trick of the Tail". I never liked "Animals" much, and "Dance on a Volcano" is one of my favourite tracks to dance to.

The best Genesis album after Gabriel's department vs the worst Floyd's album from 70's. Needless to say which of them got my vote.

I love both, but voted for Trick. Prefer it by a very slim margin.
