Remain in Light, for me. The one truly great TH album IMHO, vs a KC album I always found impressive but ultimately rather aloof and self-conscious.

I can't vote for either, so I Remain in the Dark.

No contest. Discipline fascinated me when I first heard it, and it's remained one of my favorites ever since.

Love both. Voted Remain In Light because Discipline isn't that much better than Remain...as the margin suggests. Remain In Light is a brilliant, brilliant album that would get more cred on here were it released by a prog rock band as opposed to Talking Heads.

Ok, I stand corrected on two counts. One is my poll was done over a year ago(Oct. of 2018)plus it looks like KC won and not the Talking Heads(although I believe they were ahead for a bit initially). http://www.progarchives.com/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=116466&KW=&PID=5602971#5602971

I did this about a year ago. I believe RIL won. You guys might want to consider searching on here to see how recently these polls have been done(for those that have been done before like this one).

We've had that duel before. I like both albums, but Remain in Light is way beyond Discipline, simply because it has more soul. Discipline is a very distanced album, musically well made and interesting, but without the nerve and intensity of Talking Heads. So Remain in Light (but I still think Fear of Music is their best album).

This is a prog sight for goodness sake.
Discipline! I enjoy the Talking Heads, especially this period. Fear of Music, Remain In Light, Speaking In Tongues are their best, IMO.

Oh man, I absolutely love Talking Heads. I watched 'True Stories' only because David Byrne was in it.
But come on, Discipline does win over it. I will admit it.
