That was a real bad album!!!! the one to miss!!! but it has few great tracks, like Ghost Rider, Earthshine ( love the voice of Eddy!) Freeze ( part IV of Fear"). I am a huge Rush Fan but this album is the weakest.

At this point I don’t really revisit anything after Counterparts.  That was their last outstanding album in my view.

Neil's lyrics for Vapor Trails were a big step up from the albums immediately before it, though I do like much of what he wrote for Counterparts. I don't find anything there overly preachy or introspect to the point it's stifling. Snakes and Arrows is another matter: The instrumentals saved that album for me.

In other words, everything after Power Windows?

Not everything but definitely moreso than what came before that.

I half like it. It's very uneven for me. Certain songs I always listen to and some, never. I feel like it could have used a bit more 'balls' like Counterparts had.

I love
Time and Motion
Driven (although the Different Stages live version is better)
Totem

I like
Test For Echo
Limbo

Okay
Resist

I (usually) avoid the rest
Virtuality starts out great and then gets lame and dated
Dog Years - Ugh!

I also have little patience these days for those Rush songs where Neil gets a little too introspective and/or preachy about the world around him.

Not a bad album, but Snakes & Arrows is the album I return to the least.

I regret that decision.  It's a fantastic album.

If forced to choose, I'm not really fond of the debut.  It's too much standing in Led Zeppelin's shadow.

All the other albums are at least great, which is a testament to just how incredible and creative this group was.
Word....For me if my life depended in it would be Test For Echo, but only because I don't spin it that often.

Mr Skeletor, any new music coming out?? Thumbs Up

Yes!

Ten new songs this year.  Just need the sports season to wind down.

I gave up teaching and I'm now a sports editor.  Once the lazy days of baseball get underway, I can finish the new project.  It is called, Moments Between Light.
That title is very cool Clap.....Keep us posted on the release date. I assume you will have a release party with beer and chocolate cake?? Beer

I still play Refulgence....

Sorry I missed this!  Thanks friend.  Smile

I hope the newest stuff is enjoyable once I'm finally done with it.  Don't know if you ever saw A Month of Sundays from a few years ago, but that's free to hear as well:

Hmm....not sure, I'll have to see if I have that one if not will get it as well. Thumbs Up
