I saw Soft Machine live when Hidden Details came out (actually the only time I saw them). Very good album and a pity that it doesn't have votes. They released another album in 2023, Other Doors, which I didn't like quite as much. I just saw that you reviewed it at the time. |

I make typos so you see I'm not a machine, but I may be a machine pretending to not be a machine.

Nice to see Hidden Details mentioned at least. I liked that one a lot. Will it be their last? But Knirsch is the real deal. |

Really glad to see Beardfish doing so well here. And sad to see the Italians without a vote. |

Could be my top two as well. I wanted to vote for Panzerpappa but One Shot is a huge favourite of mine. |

I had to look up Lifesigns but I'm glad I did. They got by me. |

So glad to see your vote for this one. Possibly my favourite album from Yugoslavia. |

I should like Transatlantic but sadly I don't. It's not that I don't like their individual projects/groups ( I really do) but I just couldn't connect to their music for some reason. Lifesigns was altogether a better 'Supergroup' for me and I love their 3 albums but that one is never talked about. |

I remember the Zappa influence. And Rikard is not only of course here with his band Beardfish, but he was part of Big Big Train's Folklore alum that's on this poll. He gets around. |

Ahh, I thought Kraftwerk here. Two of your top three have enough mellotron to sink a ship. |

I clearly underestimated this album. I thought Transatlantic might run away with this poll. I'm usually wrong anyways when I try to predict who will get the most votes in these polls. |

It sure is. The album cover highlights Larry Coryell and drummer Jon Hiseman but this has a strong German flavour with the great Wolfgang Dauner on keyboards and Gunter Lenz on bass. American Fred Braceful who was living in Germany at this time is on drums. |

I usually guess wrong but I figured this was the album to beat on this poll. Such an exciting time when these well know musicians from Marillion, Spock's Beard, The Flower Kings and Dream Theater got together. Too many cooks in the kitchen I figured back then, but it seemed to work out over the years. |

I had to look up that Ayreon album as I sort of got out of Prog Metal for years. I'm getting back into it now and see this is rated high. And hey it's Ayreon! |

I'm choosing Kraftwerk's Trans-Europe Express over Morte Macabre's Symphonic Holocaust, but love both of those albums. I also have enjoyed One Shot's Ewas Vader but have not listened to it much since it came out.

Watching while most appreciating a sunset in the moment need not diminish all the glorious sunsets I have observed before. It can be much like that with music for me.
