Topic: Dream Theater Instrumental Songs Posted: November 30 2005 at 09:48 |
I like instrrumentals which have some main themes and solos between them. And I alway like it when there is a number of themes that you can remember after the end of the track. That is why I like Stream of Consioussness. To make myself clear, when I hear The Dance Of Eternity I get the feeling that I've heard a big solo, not a track. Luckly there is a part from Freewil in the end

For me it's Stream of Consciousness followed very closely by Hell's Kitchen (this may change however). Hell's Kitchen is extremely underrated, it's one of their best compositions IMO.

Awesome song and my choice too. TOT could have used a couple more songs like this.

The problem with Overture 1928 is that its an overture :P
It's the song that I most enjoy listening to but then again you could just summarize any of their albums into 4 action-packed minutes and it would be the same. So overture dosen't belong in this compotition.
Either The Dance of Eternity or Erotomania. I voted Erotomania cause it has a disturbing name :)

Damn what a hard Q!
I went with 'Stream of conciousness' the best track on the noisy 'TOT'..
But its a hard choice, coz all the others are great songs

^Yeah, i would vote for all of them.
I voted from Stream of Conciusness. It's the best or second best composition on Train of Thought and the piece is always evolving. I think they did an excellent job composing this piece with all of the diversity and complexity it holds.
