But this is just.. inappropriate. stupid 2 minute tracks flaming hippies. Its a MUSIC album, not a DVD... that, Zappa, means you have to make MUSIC!

Please people, what do you guys think about it?

(Now im listening to Lumpy Gravy, and it's better. but still, I can't say Im a fan of this Zappa guy)

wow, you are really cool Alucard, you are so very cool. you sure know how to use YOUR brain, wish I could be like you!... But dude, you're the reason why forums are ass, we cannot give our opinions because of picky little guys like you, I was just listening to an album, and liked to share my thoughts and views on it, of course people will think the opposite of me, and thank god... but if youre not happy with my views on it, well. we dont give a sh*t, you have a brain you say.. well how about you just leave your useless remark in there

Stebo:

I never cared for Zappa and I really don't care about this thread, but that shot of Gracie Slick is terrific...

Yea, I did give it a few other spins, its a bit (tiny bit) better, but I still dont think ill listen to it quite alot, but I never said I hated EVERYTHING he did. Some songs on Hot Rats are pretty good... But a part i find funny is how he always says "hi im *something*, the indian one of the group"

"We're Only In It For the Money" is great!   Probably the best album by the Mothers of Invention (not Frank Zappa, though he's on it).  It should NOT be listened to as though it's a progressive rock album - because it's not.  It's in a category of it's own.

If you don't have a sense of humor, or you are quick to judge music and have a hard time with something different, than this album is probably not for you.

"Overnight Sensation" cracks me up! Crazy, fun lyrics. And; real tight musicianship.

This is great and I'm sure Frank would be laughing if he's "crap or a genius" feedback.  His work is immense and varied.  If you like Hot Rats try the Grand Wazoo, Waka/Jawaka or Chungas Revenge.  If your only in it for the money.... then try Freak Out and Absolutely Free.  The album that turned me on to him was Hot Rats then Live at the Roxy and Elsewhere.  By the by his Yellow Shark piece even my parents liked!!

WOIIFTM was the first Zappa record I ever bought.  It was 1969 and I was 10 years old.  To say I was "intrigued" by it would be an understatement.  To this day, I consider it one of the truly genius recordings of the 20th century.
