Some reviewers wrote about awful vocals but in my opinion these are emotional and I have no problem at all to listen to these vocals, it matches perfectly with the great atmosphere on the album!

I brought "Opera Prima" around christmas time and I must say that's a masterpiece of the italian scene. I pass it to a friend, who is a italian prog fan.He is the one who let me know such as Il Balletto di Bronzo "Y's",Locanda Della Fate "Fosse le luciolle non si amano pił"and Osanna "Palepoli".So, I brought "Opera Prima" without hearing a note of that album and told my friend what a great album "Opera Prima" is. I pass it the album later on and he was so pleased with this album that he called me and say that the album was one of the best of the italian scene. It's amazing how the band sound full even with only keyboards and drums. It's a very nice discovery. |

This is Sorrenti's disco music! Avoid that! Just listen only to the first three releases. |

Thanks ANDREW for the recommendations.
Erik, if you want to listen to Sorrenti, I tell that his unique prog material is represented by his first three release. The best of them is the first "Aria" (recently remastered). He is not a symphonic-prog artist. Maybe he could be included in the Avant-prog subgenre. BTW, Alan Sorrenti is told to be "the man who eat the moog"! That's why I think he would interest you! About Riccardo Zappa, I recommend you to buy his first album "Celestion" (1978) which has been recently re-issued. In Celestion there is the contribution of famous italian keyboardist Vince Tempera! |

"...dammi il tuo amore non chiedermi niente dimmi che hai bisogno di me, tu sei sempre mia anche quando vado via tu sei l'unica donna per me..." (Italian people can understand! ...anyway Alan Sorrenti "Aria" is a really great prog album!!! |

Ok, thanks Erik!!! P.S. Andrea If you like Alan Sorrenti's "Aria", i recommend you "La Finestra Dentro" by Juri Camisasca (1974). In this album Franco Battiato played his synthesizer VCS-3 and Lino Vaccina played percussions. His single Himalaya / Un Fiume Di Luce (1975) is worth mentioning. |

Hey, it was not me, it was Erik to add Rustichelli e Bordini! BTW, thanks, ANDREW. We have to support strongly the inclusion of other italian underrated artists as Alan Sorrenti (his first three albums) and Riccardo Zappa! |

"Opera Prima" is a fantastic record, where the keyboards are "pushed" all the time, reminding to METAMORFOSI's "Inferno". Unfortunately it is one of the most underrated works of the italian progressive scene. A gem to re-discover absolutely !!! Great work Andrea! |
