AHA!!!!!! You said it yourself: bald haircut=progressive...

Isn't Phil Collins bald????

PHIL DESERVES HIS SPOT HERE....

I guess I didEmbarrassed; then again is more progressive to see bald women than bald men

ok, so I propose that, as soon as Phil grows his hair long enough to look like Britney's old hair, he has to be considered in the same level of proggyness and thus included in the Archives

It would take a miracle to grow his hair back... witchcraft perhaps?

I actually think Madonna's music has progressed with time, hence the need for her inclusion.

Just a word of warning, and my personal 2 eurocents' worth on the matter: let's be careful, because including Phil (whose solo output doesn't have an ounce of prog in it) would lead down a very, very slippery slope - which could mean including every artist who was a member of a prog band, even if for a single album.

Therefore, we would probably have to include The Police, two of whose members were involved with prog bands - as well as a myriad of other artists, such as quite a few Italians, or the dreaded Demis Roussos, former vocalist with Aphrodite's Child. For those of you who've been so lucky as to have never heard anything from his solo output, let's just say that he makes Phil Collins sound like a RIO artist.Dead

I don't believe so:
  1. Georde Michael is acting as a Queen member (even whewn eventually)
  2. We are talking about A TRIBUTE TO FREDDIE MERCURY, tributes don''t require the inclusion of all the discography.
  3. They are not playing a single track by George Michael.
  4. The album is credited by Prog Archives to QUEEN.

We are saved.

...slightly off-topic remark:

If I'm not mistaken, Michael Jackson was mentioned on the first page of the current thread. For some odd reasons, he is always associated in my mind with other artist, namely, George Michael. George Michael is already present in PA:
George Michael and Queen With Lisa Stansfield: Five Live.

Pay attention to the fact that he is credited first, before Queen. It's not "Queen and George Michael..."...
...not to mention the cover of the album, where you know who appears...

Hence, bureaucratically speaking, his full discography should be added to the Archives...

Keep in mind it would had been offending to him to include him in the site. Or as he said "it would drag". Please let's not do the same mistake as with GTR and focus on the material rather than the creators.

BTW I do enjoy Tarzan too.

Though I still do think Phil had some say in the music of Genesis during he's influence as the drummer and later drummer/singer. So let's not forget he did compose prog in a prog band. I agree he should be added, even though I really don't like most of he's solo ballads. Whereas I do like his movie soundtracks, like for Disney's Tarzan.
