You are a sorry, sorry, man. there is more to this world than picking up drunk chicks.

Prog is about friendship and sharing our love of the music. too bad most women don't apreciate the music genre as we all men do, but we surely enjoy some casual sex with them if they're drunk!!!!

hawkwind, nektar, magma, etc.). I really dont think this would be a
very successful bar considering the low popularity of prog and these
obscure bands but was wandering if anyone has seen or knows of a prog
bar that is doing well in the states. Krautrock,
or german acid rock, is my favorite prog genre at the moment but I fear
that this is one of the least popular forms of prog (very low in deed).
Please let me know if this bar would stand a chance....

I have the same Idea for YEARS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! too.!!!
but I am an wost case thatn you when I move back to my home land Dominican Republic where may 10% of the whole coutry population never heard the Beautifull word PORGRESSSIVE ROCK, but what I know for sure believe me take my words that I might take awhile to get popular ,but once it does it will stay like that as long I keep it open. Why?
1.it gonna be a very rare place so the visitor are gonna be selective and faithful and spread the word like a cancer
2. Fans of the Prog world will visit it even if they don't live there.
3.Is one in a in Million.
4. I gonna keeep it a very artistic place where painter musicians poets any artist can do what ever they want( well drugs is gonna be very limited) if any.. to keep the prog spirit alive sort of UFO .
Whao How beautiful is to DREAM!!!!!
Any way GOOD LUCK go for it !!!!!!!!! That's what we need you know we are a big and international family!!!!

Whoo-ho! I'm starting a prog-club in a nice pub, at the end of the month! . A friend and me can have it as often as we like, which probably means 1-2 times a month. Every evening will be sort of loosely themed. All genres will be played. (except neo-and progmetal).

Find a fly and eat his eye
But don't believe in me
Don't believe in me
Don't believe in me

I agree. It's unfortunate, but true. You need a broad clientele in order to be successful.

Well I was at a bar and they had this digital jukebox so that for only a dollar or so, you could play any song they had. I considered playing "Merry Go Bye Bye" to scare off the drunks. Wink

I had a similar idea, in my case it was a space-rock bar... Never really went beyond the idea, though... Tongue
