Very disappointing album. It lacks melodies. The music they recorded on their last album does nothing to me.

I already theink their previous work was the most overrated stuff in this site, Secong life syndrom is a 3 stars at best... so this must be really bad

Received an email from Amazon today saying the UK release of Rapid Eye Movement has been delayed until the 15th October Unhappy

Whether it is good, bad or indifferent I'd like to be able to form my own opinion, preferably at the same time as the rest of the world. Angry
What?

There's a good mainstream, but I prefer a good Prog

I mean, there's nothing terrible, everything is on its own right place, but if you like SLS only, ordering REM is a huge risk. Leave alone money issue, I talk about high expectations and how they failed to fulfil them (in my case)! Maybe that's only because I heard only promo (thanks for some people connected with rock magazines ) a week ago, but I doubt that I would purchase an album.

But there are also some extra songs from the special edition CD, maybe they could be better?

Nothing wrong with being in the mainstream.  mean, Porcupine did that and look where they landed... oh, wait, their latest album wasn't that good. OK, I take it back, mainstream music sucks. Big%20smile

This with your avatar next to it makes it 'sound' arrogant... LOL

Well, that's only me, and I know what I like
Simply can't get these reviews on REM here on PA. This is their palest effort IMHO and God knows I wish it'd have been their best. But no. Preparing a 3-star review now
Who knows, your 3 might be my 4.Confused

It's a grower.. It's not as catching as the first two (three if you were to include Voices in my Head), but it's not bad either..
Interested in my reviews?
You can find them HERE

I thought this album wasn't out yet?

Just recently got into Riverside through SLS and am really keen to hear REM, although it's getting mixed reviews.

After listening to it twice now, I've come to the conclusion Riverside is either in a rut, or they already hit their peak sometime in the past. Buy their first two albums before Rapid Eye Movement.
