You just called Soundgarden, Rage, Pantera, and Faith No More pop bands...
go listen to Camel...

They are pop in the sense that they are (or in some cases were) popular, except for maybe Helmet, which i dont even recognise. I didn't mean anything negative, except for a partial disdain towards, for example, Nirvana, a band that I DON'T like...

the 90's weren't very good in my opinion. I do like Rage Against The Machine because they are a good example of Rap and Metal union, not like Korn or Limp Bizkit, which sucks. I also like Pantera some for their Cowboys from Hell album and Nine Inch Nails more experimental and industrial works, otherwise, i do dislike Nine Inch Nails as well as Trent kind of 'steals' his fame from so many influences.

Camel? Camel are a bit poppish at times, especially post Moonmadness, but i defintely like the band anyway.

Primus is good. I hated to see them(Les) end it with Antipop though. So much good music out of that band.

I only ever lightly brushed Nirvana and NIN out of all these. Can't stand the Peppers.

Some consider Primus prog, I don't really but people would have been like "Primus is prog, so they shouldn't be on this list... but I still voted for them... cuz they're prog", and then Primus wins and I'm like... ... dammit.

Anywho, none of the above. I never listened to Grunge or much American indie in the 90s.

Paradise Lost

My Dying Bride

Katatonia

Type O Negative

Moonspell

Dimmu Borgir

Cradle of Filth

Switchblade Symphony

Sunshine Blind

etc...

Yo yo yo; I wanted this to be a poll not a general discussion. Besides, what I was sayin' is that if a virginity poll is allowed, then a poll about 90's music should be allowed because it's at least about music.

And Cradle of Filth? c'mon...

Wrong section.

Waaaay too many votes for RHCP. Ermm

And no votes for Helmet! (until I voted for them)

I'm also fond of Pearl Jam, Alice in Chains, Soundgarden and Rage Against the Machine.

Actually, there are tons and tons of great 90's bands not in the poll.

Yeah, after I posted the poll I was like, "Gah, I forgot other!"

Yes, you did; so I would chose. Other..... Smashing Pumpkins maybe? (Considerin' Radiohead is here in the archives, so they have a kind of plus Wink)
The best you can is good enough...

Tough choice between FNM and RHCP.  Gotta go with Peppers.  Mother's Milk, BSSM and One Hot Minute trump the landmark Angel Dust.

Nirvana, followed by Helmet. Both bands had a huge influence on me.
