By the way, I DO care... I want to see if they still can sing "Tonight, Tonight" as perfectly as when they were young....

I actually saw the Pistols a few weeks ago. It was pretty sad, Johnny Rotten went with his blow-the-nose-gimmick and must have done it nearly 10 times throughout the gig. Music itself was, as can be expected, so-so, and John tried to get spirits up a few times by insulting the audience but it was not really believable at all.
Unexpectedly, the one good thing about the gig was Hawkwind's "Silver Machine" as the encore. Of course, no one in the audience got it, so when john asked if anybody rembered hawkwind, i was the only one who started clapping and yelling hysterically. So at least i got something out of it, because the rest of it was pretty.. meh.

They're at their fith reunion, the first time was called the "We're Only doing it for the money" tour and the second was the "sell-out" tour

let's just stay above the moral melee prefer the sink to the gutter keep our sand-castle virtues content to be a doer as well as a thinker, prefer lifting our pen rather than un-sheath our sword

I'd take 90s pop over what the mainstream has been crapping out for the past 8 years any day... so awesome. Not so sure about New Kids on the Block (not too familair) but the Backstreet Boys? I'd rather hear them than Nickelback or Weezer.

Let's all take a valium. They're making "comeback" tours, not albums. And don't be surprised if only the ones who were the top dogs (puppies ) in the past are likely to have any drawing power. And finally, maybe the world gets lucky a second time, and the tours are "shortened" just as the Spice Girls trip was.

That is a trick question as I believe none of them are actual musicians.

Released date are often when it it impacted you but recorded dates are when it really happened...

since it has been a considerable time since their last appearance they should probably call themselves "Old Farts on the Block" instead

Well yeah, BoyZone has been touring the spring, BSB made a comeback, the Finnish group XL5 is doing a comeback. Sounds pretty inevident... However:
PerezHilton.com is reporting today that the New Kids on the Block reunion tour is not true, citing an email from Danny Wood to his MySpace friends:
“Hello to everyone. Hope all is well and everyone is enjoying the New Year. I wanted to address the rumors of the NKOTB Reunion Tour. There has been no talk of this and you are getting it from source directly. Never say never, and you can’t believe everything you read.
On another note my solo record will be released in Australia in March. There are a few new songs on it and I hope you guys will check it out. Thank you so much for your continued support.
Dwood”

However, this was inthe beginnign of 2008, so the chance is still there. Let's keep our thumbs up, eh

Boy bands are like zombies. They keep coming at you until you shoot them in the head or something.

And I heard their reunion is in some way related to Michael Jackson.
I don't make this stuff up.
