Rhoades is no Tufnel. ;)  Guest might well have modelled his character in part on Randy Rhoades.   Love it in that video how he uses a violin instead of a violin bow to play the guitar (nice twist on a Page-like performance), finds the sound wrong, tunes the violin, then he's rockin'.  My favourite concert was seeing Spinal Tap back in the early 90s, but I won't turn this into a Spinal Tap appreciation thread. :)

thanks for calling attention to this band, Alberto Smile

I know Lava - not to confuse with another (swedish) band btw which is already added to the archives - and I don't think this is really a candidate for the krautrock department - probably the psych team is the better address for that.
Besides the psychedelic hints there are also a lot of heavy blues and american westcoast elements to point out.

We'll have a look ...
