I'm surprised no one else discussed "Beware of Darkness." That's the clear choice for me.

Not for the first time in this forum, I agree with Limeyrob...

V is my fave, closely followed by The Kindness Of Strangers...although I also enjoy the first two very much, I have to be in the mood for them.

Day for Night is good, but it sags in the middle. 'The Healing Colours Of Sound' is great on the live album, though.

Music has always been a matter of energy to me. On some nights I believe that a car with the needle on empty can run 50 more miles if you have the right music very loud on the radio. Hunter S Thompson

Octane is a very good album that is severely underrated, very catchy

I voted for "The Kindness of Strangers" as it was the first one I heard and never really liked another SB anywhere near as much.  "Snow" is good but there's too much filler, IMO.  And bits of it sound a bit too "off-Broadway" for my liking.  Their recent "Octane" album can't even be classified as Prog IMO.

The Light is fantastic. One of the best debuts ever.

Snow is deff. a close second.

I hope we are, because Transatlantic are wicked. Not just Stranger in Your Soul; I think All of the Above and Duel With the Devil are great too.
It's only knock and knowall, but I like it...

Oh and I forgot to say, 'The Great Nothing' is the best track SB have recorded by a country mile... although for me it would be closely pushed by quite a few Transatlantic tracks, like 'Stranger in Your Soul'... (are we allowed to mention Transatlantic in here??!!)

To me, 'V' is just solid throughout so it got my vote.  I also have a soft spot for 'Kindness of Strangers', though understand its not everyone's cuppa.  I think 'Snow' could have won if the 2nd CD was as strong as the first, but IMO it tails off badly towards the end, and as for the third CD of the box set; it rarely gets a play!

I've never understood why people rate LLDOB so highly. Even Tony Banks in a recent interview didn't rate it as highly as WAW. Said the story and concept was weak! The second side is just a rehash of the first in parts! 'Snow' is a much better album, stonger storyline and better songs IMHO!

Snow just seems like a remake of The Lamb Lies Down on Broadway to me, but not as good. I voted for V, because The Great Nothing's awesome.

I voted for Snow, but there is no way Snow is the best concept album ever....
