Wetton.

One likes to believe
In the freedom of music
But glittering prizes
And endless Compromises
Shatter the illusion
Of integrity

Wetton and then Boz (I love Islands)

Yeah Greg Lake for me too ... I think Fripp kept getting everyone else (well, the other singer/bassists Haskell, Burrell and Wetton at least) to try and imitate him
"Death to Utopia! Death to faith! Death to love! Death to hope?" thunders the 20th century. "Surrender, you pathetic dreamer.”

"No" replies the unhumbled optimist "You are only the present."

Just two words: Greg and Lake. Wetton comes far, far behind (he's quite lame on Larks', better on Starless, good on Red) and the others are not in the same league.

Boz Burrell might be my second favorite...curious that he's not included in the poll!? Greg Lake is utterly fantastic, I sure would've liked to hear him on 'Lizard', which is ruined by the vocals. Gordon Haskell is AWWWWWFULLLLL!!!!!!!!

the Wetton-era is my favorite Crimson, but sometimes Wetton sounds a little awkward. Someone above mentioned a speech impediment; I hear an old man with marshmallows in his mouth...only sometimes. He's clearly great at other times ("One More Red Nightmare", "Starless", "the Great Deceiver"). And Belew has loads of character.

...it is real...it is Rael...

Greg Lake is far ahead by now, so why should I vote?!?!?

And why is everyone forgetting Jon Anderson? Lizard is probably his first encounter with prog (The Yes Album was relesaed one year later) and he sings the hell out! Wish he was a KC member for some time!

John Wetton is very good, too, but it's his bass playing (Starless!) what makes him a prominent Crimson member.

Listen to Turkish psych/prog; you won't regret:
Baris Manco,Erkin Koray,Cem Karaca,Mogollar,3 Hürel,Selda,Edip Akbayram,Fikret Kizilok,Ersen (and Dadaslar) (but stick with the '70's, and 'early 80's!)

I always felt that John Wetton fits the KC vocalist bill the best.

Greg Lake. The double tracked voice on the previously unreleased version of Epitaph is awesome!

Well obviously Greg Lake. Boz is criminally underrated, though. His voice really fit the Islands album, IMO.

Greg Lake was IMO the best vocalist, though the later incarnations of KC created better music than the stuff GL sang.

Adrian Belew has remained the most consistant vocalist for Crimson for the past two decades...he gets my vote.  Wetton a close second...the rest...no contest for me.  Not a big fan of Greg Lake that's for sure, and I'm surp - no, actually I'm not.
