No, it means I admit I have been wrong all the way regarding Senmuth. I just gave Path To Satiam four stars at the end of a long review.

I also wonder how he manages to stretch the daylight hours. Most of all; how the holy balalaika did he manage to come up with an album like Path To Satiam ? That is simply not possible.........

I may have said something bad about Senmuth or even branded this a bedroom project with limited value during the last three months. I am withdrawing these words forthwith. I am listening to an album called Path To Satiam now and that is not an album from a bedroom project. Neither is it an album with limited value.

I have also briefly been listening to a couple of other Senmuth albums and have come to the same conclusion. Hence, I am eating humble pie tonight.

I have read the interview. I think a day in Russia must be 36 hours long if he's able to do anoter work other than releasing 70 albums. He is the sleeve designer of all the albums, too! And what a designer...He's a complete artist !

I don't think a life will be enough to listen to all of them carefully enough.

I don't know your taste, but personally I enjoyed Bark of Ra and Exouniverse.

Still waiting for the return of that interview. I guess that will be a most interesting read.

A lot of his ideas are based in ethnic music. Egyptian, African, Middle Eastern, and other types of continental music are all bases he uses for his ambient and rock/metal fusion. There's also a big Space-Rock flavour in much of his work, and occaisionally industrial and dark ambient influences. Really tidy, interesting and unusually eclectic stuff.

On his site it seems that he has published 40 more albums with a band called "Anima" between 1998 and 2004. Am I right? Plus 4 more projects of 3-4 albums each.

What I find amazing is that he writes songs with lyrics. Where does he get the ideas from ?

Just in case anyone is having trouble with the downloads:

www.oldversion.com  is a great site to get older versions of extraction software - WinRar is my extraction software of choice and you can find a usable version there - ie. version 3.5 ... download and install WinRar.

Then go back to the Senmuth site and start looking for selections you'd like ...

Once you click on a selection (cd/release) that you want you are taken to another site; enter the security code that is listed (they're fairly simple) and hit the green box; you will then see the file as somethingXXXX.rar; right-click on that file link and choose "Save target as" and then choose somewhere where you would like to save the file.  Once the downoad is complete - go to the file and right-click on it, then choose Extract Here - this will create a new folder with the title of the release and all of the extracted mp3 files will be inside of that titled folder ... Hope this helps!

I'd be interesting in seeing that interview, Torodd. I've sampled a couple of his albums and it's definitely interesting, but the rate that the guy outputs music - wow - over 10 so far this year. It's a little insane!

Wow... He definitely can makes covers for albums. Greate covers. Wonderful images...
Don't know about the music. I'm very suspicious of quality of this music - however, 60 albums in 10 years...
But i will listen to it..

Well, it's safe to say this guy is a total champ, although mind you; the music might be absolutely horrible...

Sounds like a summer project though! =D One day of lots of listening to one, then a review at the end of day... Should only take 2/3 of the season...

I haven't come across any albums that I'd rate under 3 stars yet. Smile
Any Fivers sir?? I'm going to take them on one at a time.

Dude, thanks so much. I was sh*tting myself about finding time to do that.

Honorary PMT member for that effort.

SmileNo bother, I love doing discographies anyway, and I have plenty of time at the moment.

But thank you for your kind words.Big smile
