Agreed! But if I have to decide, I vote for Sally Oldfield.

Ace of Wands, I'm afraid. It presents all kinds of great prog moods, and Collins sure slaps those skins convincingly.

Went with Ace. But yeah, the whole album is a masterpiece. Love it all.

No love for The Lovers. I like the whole album as an integral piece, but I'm going to have to pile on Heirophant.

I know I'm wrong.......believe i have been checking live versions etc.
Unless its a conspiracy!
I just remembered. On the back cover there are lyrics to Shadow Of The heirophant so for YEARS I was convinced it was mistake by the printer.

Interesting to see "Star Of Sirius" get so many votes! I did not expect that!
As for "The Lovers", it really is just a precursor to "Shadow", only a minute or so long. To me, it's quite clear where it ends and where "Shadow" begins. ... with a bang!

Not to me it wasn't. I thought that minute acoustic bit was just the introduction to the main song. Then the song fades at the end and actually stops. The Heirophant fades in.

I always got confused where The Lovers ended and Shadow begins. I always thought that all the singing bit was The Lovers....hell it sounds loverish......and the repeated section at the end was Heirophant from the quiet start.
I still think it makes more sense.

Great album indeed, no major flaws. Star of Sirius is beautiful although the poor chorus blows it a bit. My vote goes to Ace of Wands.

There's something about The Hermit that just sticks in my mind.
