Just a matter of taste, of course, but for me Snow Goose is Camel's masterpiece and You is Gong's, but I still think both of these albums good, though I prefer Angel's Egg to Mirage (though Mirage does have Nimorodel which i do think superb...). Both Angel's Egg and Mirage were favourites of mine years ago, but neither have I played, at least in full, for quite a few years. Mirage was one of the first albums I got and fell in love with when re-discovering Prog (was just my thing then), and I really fell for the Camel trilogy Mirage, Snow Goose, Moonmadness, but soon I fell for Gong's Radio Gnome Invisible trilogy, but for some reason it's The Snow Goose and You that I have continued to play now-and-then (well, You has Master Builder which is fantastic, and I really like La Princess Perdue).... {Edited to remove old dead youtube vids post this thread being bumped} Edited by Logan - February 20 2018 at 06:50 |
