Well, Kansas only had personal changes after
  1. Kansas
  2. Song for America
  3. Masque
  4. Leftoverture
  5. Point of Know Return
  6. Two for the Show
  7. Monolith
  8. Audio- Visions
And after 8 years of career......So not talking about Kansas early career.

In the prog world, only one of these bands deserves mention: KANSAS.

Early Chicago has merit as a "fusion" act, but Kansas' odd time signatures, mysticism-tinged lyrics and classical-style arrangements put them firmly in the prog camp.

The first 3 albums have a few boogie-style songs, but are overwhelmingly prog.

It got a "nice" from someone who is a fan of the band, but it is pretty much the inherent nature of jokes that if you have to explain it, it loses impact, but doesn't make it unfunny.  For that one to really work you need familiarity with the lyrics of one of their more popular songs.

I'm sure knowing the song would make no difference. I see the words you posted. How does it relate to me not wanting to listen to Chicago?

How about just explaining it anyway?

You might want to watch your back if you go walking down the street one day.  Be sure and wear a watch because you may find time enough to cry.LOL

Nice

I confess I did have to go and look up the lyrics for that one as I have heard that song several times though it's been a while.

Anyone want to have a go at Kansas lyric based joke? Big smile

That was a joke?Confused

This has been an interesting poll.  Lots of people feel very strongly in favor of one band and equally strongly against the other.

I listened to the first Kansas album today (my "strongly against" band) for the first time in years, and it was pretty entertaining.  Not good enough to change my vote (I really love Chicago, man), but I'm glad this poll came around and encouraged me to give them another chance.  I'll never badmouth Kansas again.
