I am a man but I know women who like prog. But that may not count because they are all musicians.

Voted the first choice-my ex sure didn't like prog....Now i'm wary to tell a lady what kind of music i like.Cause when i say say King Crimson,Hawkwind or Uriah Heep i get the deer in the headlight looks....Of course there are the one's who like Pink Floyd but don't realize it's prog....

I Said it made more sense for them to like other stuff, I never said it wasn't awesome if they were metal-heads! :P.

But I mean it is true most women are more into the emotional, loving things, or some young women are into boy bands.

But not like that's the only way a women can be. They can like Heavy Metal too, and that's awesome. :D

I congratulate you on finding "Judas Priestess". That's a really creative name ^_^. XD.

Have a good day :)

The girls of which I take interest in the musical opinions of are most likely to like Pop and Country.

And I have no problem with that (Pop and Country are not all bad, you know. Especially if knowing the words to them means you know songs girls know, and if liking them gives you something else in common with girls XD)

Though I do know one who likes Screamo. She's taken though :P

Course, she also likes Country. So :P

I suppose my dream girl would like hard rock and heavy metal.

But let's face it, It just makes more sense for a girl to like "Carrie" or One Direction rather than Judas Priest or Symphony X.

I wonder how much influence did my passion for Prog and my dislike for mainstream pop hits and danceable music have in my ex leaving me LOL

I know a few women that are familiar with various prog bands, but no full-blown prog fans. Then again, I only have one male acquaintance who is a proggy.
