I can't believe that Chapter 24 is the less loved track, but one should have taken this place. Also The Scarecrow should have received more love from Barrett's fans

Before we proceed to the next I'll fix the ranking here: 1. Astronomy Domine (34) 2. Interstellar Overdrive (31) 3. Lucifer Sam (16) Bike (16). 5. Matilda Mother (15) 6. Pow R. Toc H. (9) 7. The Gnome (5) Scarecrow (5) 9. Flaming (4) Take Up Thy Stethoscope and Walk (4) 11. Chapter 24 (2)

Most likely Matilda Mother.
I've heard that it was originally around the 10 minute mark but it was edited down to what it is. Shame, has such an excellent solo from Wright, could've listened to that for ages. The Middle-Eastern twist is superb.

Definitley not my favourite Floyd album, I really don't understand the great genius of Syd Barrett, I much prefer David Gilmour... I don't really think they would have achieved the same height without him. However, from this album I do love "Astronomy Domine" a lot, the one absolutley great classic he achieved. I also like a lot "Lucifer Sam" and "Matilda Mother". And "Intersellar Overdrive" too, even if that one is a bit frustrating, for it's got a great riff, but then it drags on for much too long on improvisations or atonal or whatever (I like better a shortened version that appears on the bonus CD of the last re-issue of the album... also, I would very much like to hear a live version that I once heard was suposed to be included on the live album of Ummagumma). I think I also liked "The Gnome" a bit.

Brutally hard to choose 4, as I really dig most of 'em.
1. Lucifer Sam 2. Astronomy Domine 3. Bike 4. Flaming
Man I hate leaving out Matilda though

Astronomy Domine is definitely the favorite here for me, but i can't complain about "Interstellar Overdrive" as an instrumental masterpiece of the time; Bike is also a HUGE candidate.

Hmmm. Went with the first four tracks. Picking the fourth after the first three tracks on the album was hard though.

I can only really pick two, Astronomy and Interstellar. The rest is not much to write home about.
