The more I still listen to Camel after all these years do I continually realize how brilliant they were. Well a lot can be said for all their early classics including Rain Dances......but even all the albums thereafter, the composition and song structure is so unique. Incredible consistency and wonderful memories as well as new experiences. I still think Moonmadness entirely is just epic and the rest...whew boy

^ You mean including Latimer's own and Bardens' own songs, or just the ones they wrote with each other?

All I like is prog related bands beginning late 60's/early 70's. Their music from 1968 - 83 has the composition and sound which will never be beaten. Perfect blend of jazz, classical, folk and rock.

Songs:
Nimrodel/The White Rider - anticipates the sound on Moonmadness Air Born - in my opinion, if they were ever to have one track that should have been a radio staple on American classic rock stations, this should have been it. My favorite Camel song from my favorite Camel album. Starlight Ride - a perfect pop song that wouldn't have sounded out of place on Moonmadness. How is this not more famous or more loved by Camel fans?
Instrumentals:
Lunar Sea - my favorite of their instrumentals from their classic period Ice - the kind of song that David Gilmour probably wishes he had written for his first or second solo albums. A bit MOR-like slickness somehow still doesn't ruin it... The Snow Goose - best thought of as one long piece; hard to isolate single tracks. Along with Moonmadness, my favorite Camel album.
