Even though Hatfield and National Health are listed as Canterbury I think they are essential 'jazz fusion' albums for me. They have more fusion going on than progrock imo and they are simply superb.

^This is interesting. I recall that the album Fish Rising had a lot of jazzy passages but I'm not sure if that's what he's talking about.  But I'm really not that familar with Hillage's work.
