It's brilliant! Thanks for reminding me of it's existence - I will dig it out of my LP collection when I get home tonight...

I'm listening to it for the first time right now.  Man is it a beautiful album.  Does anyone know of anything that is similar in style?

The first that came to mind when I listened to it the first time was: A great mixture of Gentle Giant and Jethro Tull... I havn't listened to it for a while though....

It's an amazing album.  Does Gryphon have anything else worth checking out?  I also have Midnight Mushrumps and it's nowhere near as good.

Good album! The basoon is a highly under-used instrument in prog...

I love it. Their best overall effort.

But I disagree about Midnight Mushrumps. The title track was their pinnacle and Ethelion is also marvellous. The first album is more folky but has some wonderful music and Raindance has some excellent tracks (Ein Klein) Heldenleben standing out. Treason is not that good in general, but Springsong is superb.

A great live band - blew Yes totally off stage.

Yea, I love it. Probably in my top 15.

Lament is one of my favorite songs.

I love this album. I've found that I listen to it more than almost any other
prog album.

Lament is a stroke of brilliance. The intro melody, the bassoon focus in
the middle, a little faster paced section and then - honestly one of my
favorite parts in any song - the reprise of the introduction that is so epic.

I guess this is their best effort. Thats what the consensus says. I'm afraid
to get other things by them fearing they'll not be as good.

Very interesting album! Complex time-signatures and brilliant musicianship! Not perfect but i would recommend it to all prog fans out there... folk-rockers or not!

I like it...i like it alot...but i dont find it to be the masterpiece that it is hailed to be.

Though i do enjoy it...esp. Lament.

Dig me...But don't...Bury me
I'm running still, I shall until, one day, I hope that I'll arrive
