Before I do that ^ I'd also like to mention that there is another surfacing Frances theory circulating about L'Via murdering Frances out of jelousy and want for a child, and Cassandra Gemini being the "alter-ego" of Cygnus and killing L'Via as she killed his mother. Just thought I'd share. (Personally this theory, until I read more about it, cannot hold a nice amount of water, but it is still interesting to read new thoughts on the magnificently open story).

Eventually i will post my own theory on the de-loused matter

in the meantime, that should do you over well.

Anyone else into the theory about the frances story taking place in cygnus head?

And when he realizes that the ones he has killed was inocent he ends up killing himself by a overdose?

"You ain’t got nothing, your life was just a lie."

King VOlta your theories are very interesting and allow some of it to make sense (if you have time could try and make snse of Coheed and Cambria for me? lol, perhaps I should do that myself for discustion on here) but If im allowed to add something that may help you everyone else make sense of it all....

The story of Francis is based on a diary found by their ex-sound/wierd noises guy (he died in a car accident before they done the 2nd album R.I.P). He used to work as a dusbinman (garbage man for all the americans out there) and he found this diray of someones in an abandoned car, he wasn't sure where this person had gone but kept it and showed it to the band and it was someone in search of their real parents.

De-Loused is about a boheimean artist friend of theirs who was alittle bit enccentirc/mad and use to inject rat poison into himself, he in turn became deformed and slowly poisoned by it and went into a coma and died, de-loused is apparently what the band thought he may be dreaming/thinking about in his coma.

Iv not made this up it came from the band themselves, straight from the horses mouth!

Hmmm.... I always gathered the notion that both albums were loosely based on teh deceased band members respectivly.

De-louses, in a nutshell (a very tight nutshell), being about a misunderstodd artist who has created his own world in his head. He visits there when he is high off of morphine (rat poison). Eventually his creations in his mind turn cult like and on his last visit in he is told to kill himself to become the leader of his "world". So he attempts an OD on morphine and fails. His "cult" puts him on a "trial"of sorts for his failure. When he wakes up from these trials he decides to kill himself anyways by jumping out of a window ("just as he hit the ground etc etc"). Take the Veil, Ambuletz, and A Plague Upon Your Hissing (if you haven't heard it it is basically impossible to find so I'd download it) are all about his afterlife. That's basically what I gathered, thought there is much more involved.

The Mute has no one set story like De-loused, which in turn makes it much harder to decipher....my theory (first one posted) I am sure is way off from the actual intended story, but that is not what matters. Frances the Mute, being more open-ended, is about what it makes YOU feel individually....and that is one reason why there are fifty-bijillion theories floating around about it. The most accurate/well-thought-out ones come from sgriska off of the comatorium...that girl is a genious!

Anyways have fun...

(to Space Dementia: no i will not do Coheed and Cambria...I'm sorry but I am not a very big fan of theirs at all, and I am not sure if I could endure the music...sorry!)

Yeah the stories were both based on those instances and that's where all the
emotion is coming from but that doesn't mean they kept it straight forward.

To King Volta: Thanks a lot, I wanted to actually take the time to pick apart
the album but this semester's coming to an end and I've got tons of finals
coming up. It was rewarding to read this and get an idea of what the album
is about. I was trying to figure this out earlier today actually. The album is
extremely interesting and the best of '05 by far IMO. I can't wait to hear a
long discography from TMV. I'm expecting great things.

What the hell is this? Be nice if you began with background info, for simple dummies like me.

(To King Volta: Don't worry King Volta, Co and Ca's story is just as hard, perhaps harder to decipher then TMV, serious Sci-fi for sci-fi and fantasy geeks like me lol).

I didn't mean they were the exact stories behind the albums but that is what the band said. But like ben (king volta) said they are both albums that allow people to make up their own opinions which i theory is what most music is about, creating a mood and emotions, some form of story for people to read into in their own way.
