Appetite is excelent, a classic album, very important at the time it was released.
But I enjoy even more the "Illusions" because they are more diverse. There are so many great songs in that four records!

Lies for me. I love those acoustic songs on the second side of the vinyl

Used to love her, but you had to kill her, eh, Hugues? Looking back, I can safely say that despite one or two good songs per album (Used To Love Her, Patience, Welcome To The Jungle, Sweet Child O' Mine, You Should Be Mine ... and especially Civil War ...) I really don't like this group enough to vote ... too many overplayed songs I don't like ... November Rain, those covers Knockin On Heaven's Door & Live And Let Die ... that bloody Paradise City ... Maybe GNR will never recover from the bands they had to compete with in my experience ... in the last 80s when most of my friends were discovering them ... I was discovering classic Zep, Sabbath, Heep, Purple and Rainbow ... Axl, Slash and co. look so damn manufactured compared to them

"Death to Utopia! Death to faith! Death to love! Death to hope?" thunders the 20th century. "Surrender, you pathetic dreamer.”
"No" replies the unhumbled optimist "You are only the present."

Funny- I thought this would be a walk over. 'Appetite' trounces all over their other work; the stopgap 'Lies' and the gratuitously overblown nonsense of 'Use Your Illusion 1 and 2' (probably two of the dullest albums I've ever had- bar the excellent 'November Rain'). Yet, I'm not their biggest fan in any case, but the debut must have sounded like the best thing in the world in the era of cheesetastic glam peddled by the likes of Poison and Warrant.

Which one is the shortest?
G'n'R are not at all to my taste.
That skinny, tattooed WT screamer Axel Rose needs to be dragged out and publicly shot.
(I'm sorry! Is this not the "unsubstantiated absolute statements" thread? )
