Topic: Enchant Recommendations? Posted: June 21 2006 at 14:24 |
I´ve only heard two songs, "Sinking Sand" and "Below Zero" I see they are listed in Art Rock. They sound much more progressive than Rush´s latest stuff on Vapor Trails. The vocalist has a voice similar to early Steve Walsh, which is a really positive point as I love great
vocals. Anyway I love these tracks and was wondering which album to start with?
Anyone else here into Enchant?

I recommend their debut (A Blueprint of the World) and Blink of an Eye to start with. The early albums are less heavy, more Art Rock ... the recent albums are (light) Prog Metal.

What I heard reminded me of a cross between Kansas and Dream Theater, most probably their later stuff. I will check out those 2 albums you mentioned, thanks!

If you really want an album by this band, go for their debut - Blueprint - this is decent work, especially bearing in mind that this is debut.

I don't know where you shop, but you can get Juggling 9 or Dropping 10 for 7 dollars from The Laser's Edge right now (it's on clearence). I think it would be a good starter (other than the aforementioned), and one of their better albums for sure.

^ Juggling is quite nice ... Tug of War too, but it's their heaviest album.

Well I´m going to buy Tug of war this weekend. The guitarist is really good too. It´s a pity this band are so underrated on these forums.
Another great band is Akashic that I´ve been getting into a lot lately.

Their debut A Blueprint of the World is a great album.
