PT DVD available for pre-order

Finally a live performance DVD by Porcupine Tree!

"Arriving Somewhere..." comes as a 2-disc set, with the first 2,000 mail order copies being numbered and with a set of 6 colour postcards (VIP ticket holders on the US tour will also receive this edition). Disc one is a full show from the Deadwing tour filmed at Park West, Chicago in Oct 2005, edited by Lasse Hoile, with the soundtrack mixed in stereo and 5.1 surround sound by SW, and mastered by Darcy Proper (who mastered the award winning PT DVDAs). Disc two includes bonus live performances of Futile and Radioactive Toy from German TV show Rockpalast, the Lazarus promo clip, the live films used during the show for Start of Something Beautiful, Halo, and Mother and Child Divided, Gavin Harrison's "Cymbal Song" (also in 5.1 sound), and a photo gallery with well over 100 images.

The only concern for me is the actual presentation of the concert.It appears,judging by the preview on PTs Myspace,that there is over use of video effects....

I'm concerned that Pree-Stupid Dream albums are hardly (if at all, I can't recognise anything...) present at all! Have they moved on from performing the old stuff completely?

Yeah im seeing them in DC in October. Can't wait!!!

DVD looks good although I would have liked to see more of the older material from SMS or Signify. But ah well. Looks good.

I Just, went back to view the sample again, and I have to say that your right, theres an over use of effects. I hope they edited it again after they released the sample.

I think I remember them adding something heavier instead of the sax, when I saw them play it live last year. With or without it though it's still a great tune. Thumbs Up

I will seeing Porcupine Tree Oct 6th in New York... hope the set is as good as this one, and can't wait for any inveiling of new material! I'll probably pick up the DVD while I'm there!
