I see Bossk have been cleared, good band, I must say. I was thinking more of post rock, but they have a metallic edge, so I guess post metal is more correct. Is anyone preparing them for addition?

I was originally considering them for post-rock but found there to be enough metal to consider them for that field instead. Nobody's working on anything quite yet, though I'm sure we'll get to them in time. |

People! Jaga Jazzist has been added to Jazz-Rock/Fusion. The bio written by Chamberry and he is now adding the albums. This band was actually initially suggested as post rock but eventually that team decided to put them in Fusion with the consent of the Fusion team members.
Jimbo (Toni) fomr the post-rock team has been one of those to push for the inclusion of this band. Truly magnificent sound and cool, vibrant and jazzy atmosphere. Go get it: http://www.progarchives.com/Progressive_rock_discography_BAND.asp?band_id=2724 |

Hopefully the Art Rock team will be back in business in the next few days... I apologise to all the people who sent me suggestions, but I have been away for professional reasons, and my personal life is also undergoing quite a few changes. I really hope to be able to add some of the bands or artists that other PA members have so kindly submitted to our attention.

Hi Phileas, This is a thread for bands that have been added, not to wonder why they are not added or to propose new ones. If you want them added, PM the relevent team members of the genre you want Mew to be added to and tell them what you think. |

I know what the thread is about, but I felt it was a good opportunity
to remind people that Mew actually are on the to add list (according to
a post Mystic Fred or Chopper (don't remember) made a while ago).

Again, this is not to remind anyone of addition, simply becuase this is not a discussion on whether this or that band should be added. It can be for discussing whether this should have been added... If you want to be more effective, write a PM. It will probably get more results than posting in my godforsaken threads. Good luck with your quest Edited by avestin - November 28 2006 at 15:49 |

I wasn't expecting Jaga Jazzist to make it to PA. I feel it's a welcome addition though, since they're one of the most intriguing and original groups to have emerged in the last few years. I'm not sure how much recognition they're getting right now, but they're making a powerful statement with such a surprising combination of styles, one that hopefully will be remembered as groundbreaking in the future. A clearly progressive unit with a unique approach to music, which everyone should listen to, at least for the sake of diversity and keeping in touch with current musical revolutions. And actually I think they should appeal to lovers of jazz, psychedelic, post rock, electronica and many other things they seem to recall at times, without sounding like anything else but themselves.
I'll also check out Callisto - somehow, I had the feeling they were more of that generic metalcore stuff, but if they're compared to Isis/Cult of Luna/Neurosis then I'm willing to give them a try.
