So I have been reviewing some J Tull, and it occurs to me that Blodwyn Pig is conspicuous in their absence here.  Obviously not a long-lived band -- only two studio albums that I know of -- they certainly gave said J Tull a run for the money early on.  There first -- Ahead Rings Out -- is a monster album.  It seems perhaps they deserve a place here in some category or another.

A worthy proposal I'd say, Mick Abrahams solo work too perhaps?

Absolutely ; if  'Bakerloo'  has been included, then why not 'Keef Hartley Band', 'Blind Faith', 'Allman Brothers Band' .....................

Not sure I follow there. Are you proposing that those bands are prog? What sub-genre would you say they are?

Let's say like this:
Blodwyn Pig and Keef Hartley Band under 'Proto prog' since:  ''Rock Bands in existence prior to 1969 that influenced the development of progressive rock'' according to the definition we find in PA and under which criteria Bakerloo has been included (their sole self titled album was released in 1969, the same year in which 'Ahead rings out' and 'Halfbreed' were released).
 
Blind Faith and Allman Brothers Band under 'Prog related' while: ''Are widely accepted as MUSICALLY influential to the development of Progressive Rock by the community'' .

I would be interested in hearing in detail how you think the Allman Brothers were influential to various prog bands.   I can think of a reason or two, but they are pretty vague.
 
As for Blodwyn Pig, that's a band I'd like to hear enough about to form an opinion.
