Pretty much neat, post-rock/electronic music...this band as well as Mum (if they aren't already included) should definitely be added:
Efterklang MySpace Múm Myspace Not sure how HEAVY they are prog-wise (however, Efterklang should undoubtedly be added) Still, they are both qualifiers for the Experimental/Post-Rock section, I believe. Check em out and argue please! |

Sorry for not noticing this sooner.
Efterklang is a wonderful band that mixes live instruments with electronic sounds that sounds simply excellent. I think they have enough qualities to have them in the Post-Rock genre. ![]() I'm quite skeptical about Múm, though. The last time I heard them (more than 6 months ago) they didn't sounded convincing. It had too much of a electronic and pop sound. I'll need to re-listen to them again. What album should I try? |

Efterklang I'm pretty sure are prog enough. Mum I'm skeptical about as well, but they have prog tendencies....it really depends. Try out "Finally We are No One" |

^^^ Indeed. I really like both of their studio albums and I already voted for their addition. Just need one more vote and they'll get added.

band is ruined for me
I liked what I heard, but I associate it now with my "stoner" friend who won't shut up about them and is really annoying about it to me he also plays only three songs of theirs constantly and says you can't "get it" unless you're high ![]() edit: Efterklang I mean Edited by heyitsthatguy - December 15 2007 at 02:11 |

I always considered Efterklang to be a Mum clone.
Oh well, both are great and both would make good additions to the Post Rock genre. They're sort of like mixes of the electronica of 65days and the concise songwriting of The Album Leaf. |

I really like both bands. In fact anything that came out on the Morr/City Centre Offices labels in the early days (2000-2003) was nearly always excellent.Morr's compilation,'Blue Skied 'n' Clear', which gathered together the label's roster of arists to cover songs by shoegazers,Slowdive,is well worth checking out.
As for the inclusion of Múm on PAs.No,not really. They are a bit on the poppy side. One artist that could merit inclusion from the Morr/CCO labels is Robert Shnauss. His ambient electronica should fit in quite well. Edited by Man Erg - December 15 2007 at 02:24 |

I like MUM a bit better (still no sign of passion for EFTERKLANG), but I insist they're far from ProgArchives range (though good on their own)
